Feb 1, 2024 · Santander online banking is down this morning. There have been multiple reports on downdetector.co.uk and on the Santander X site. Santander say they are aware and are working on it but also that the app is working fine. I can concur with that having just logged into the app. MACKEM99 Posts: 963 Forumite.
Feb 15, 2022 · OTP by email for FPS payments in Santander online banking now available for EXISTING PAYEES. Started working once my (mobile) phone numbers had been removed (via telephone banking). Can't comment about online shopping payments with card. I found it arbitrary to get Santander to allow OTP by email.
Most of the time I use the app, as it's a lot faster and regular login doesn't involve any typing or remembering of credentials. EDIT: New login also working fine for me in Firefox 72.0.2 on Windows 10.

Mar 2, 2024 · Santander is my main account and I usually log in daily. Most times I use the app (old version usually but sometimes also the new). Occasionally, I have to use online banking, e.g. to change an SO. I use Chrome for online banking, and the app is on iPhone. I can’t recall any login or other usability issues.
May 11, 2013 · 11 May 2013 at 3:56PM. Just got off the phone with Santander after trying to register for online banking about ten times and being unable to despite making sure everything was correct. If you have a debit card that starts with 4757, these are apparently still brand new and not recognised on all of their systems.
Jan 3, 2021 · This only happens with Santander and has been happening on and off ever since the change in login page from password to PIN. No, it is not related to browser or cookies, I have tried on the various combinations that were not working yesterday and they are all fine today. Strange. colsten Posts: 17,597 Forumite.
Jul 5, 2011 · You need to ring Santander Online banking technical help on 0845 600 4388 and ask them to remove that page. They're open from 7am to 11pm Monday-Saturday and 9-9 on Sunday I think? They can just remove the page, but you won't be able to set new first time payments up without the OTP.

I simply can't log in half the time. It refuses my login - I know it's definitely 100% correct, but it simply won't accept my details. Works some days and not others.
