On your new phone, select whether you’re receiving data from Galaxy, iPhone, or a Windows Phone/BlackBerry. Select whether you want to connect via cable or wirelessly.

Last night it got to the stage where I could use the phone reasonably quickly but for the whole process including Secure Folder it took like 3-4hrs. And tonight when I do it I'll have a stack more photos being transferred over from the SD card.

However, this was interrupted mid-way and before completing the full transfer. Can I simply repeat the process and will it affect the content that has already been transfered. My SIM card is still in the old phone.

Jan 19, 2024 · Backup WhatsApp (3 dots, Settings, Chats, backup) Be sure Google Backup is current - go into Settings / Accounts and Backups. Install Samsung Smart Switch if it's not installed. Move SIM to new phone. Start backup, make sure both phones are well charged and that there's a good WiFi connection. Watch4 Classic.
Jul 18, 2021 · I'm not happy. I used smart switch. 09-03-2023 03:43 AM. I used smart switch and only got a percentage of my photos, not half, maybe not even 15%. A lot of them are missing. I just got a galaxy s21 and transferred data from my old galaxy s8 via smart switch. The vast majority of my Gallery photos were not transferred.

It's called "transfer my data." It takes up to 7 days to transfer to Google photos. Then, if needed, you can move them to samsung Gallery.
Jan 28, 2024 · There is BIG difference in correct order which one first. For apps its better to start with smarswitch, then restore from google acc. google doesnt restore app settings/progress etc. SmarS doesnt cant overwrite restored content, so you end up with few factory reset until you get correct order. But for rest of the content, it doesnt matter.
