The End. The Ministry of Education has announced the results of national examinations for secondary schools on Thursday December 15, 2022. A total of 44,818 (94.6%) out of 47,379 (99,5 %) students who sat for the General Education passed, while for TVET, a total of 20,752 (97,8 %) out of 21,227 (99,5%) students who sat for exams passed.
The total number of candidates who sat for 2021-2022 Academic Year National Exams were 227,402 and 206,286 of them passed, which represents 90.69 per cent of the general passing rate. Results for O’ Level indicates that among the 126,735 candidates who sat for national exams, 108,566 passed which represents 85.66 percent.

Five subjects were examined, namely: Mathematics, Kinyarwanda, Social Studies, English, Science and Elementary Technology. Ordinary Level secondary National examinations started on 20/07/2021 and ended on 27/07/2021. 122,536 Ordinary level candidates from 1,468 schools were registered in 547 examinations centres.
