Loomians are unique and fictional creatures that can be found throughout the Loomian Legacy series. They come in different types and are born with distinct kinds of power. Loomian Trainers capture, bond, and battle with them to learn more about these creatures while growing up alongside them.
Certain kinds of Loomians such as Beginner Loomians, Variant Loomians, Event Loomians, Corrupt Loomians, Gleaming Loomians and Roaming Loomians exist and are known as Loomian Variants.
Introduced in Loomian Legacy - Veils of Shadow
There are currently 279 Loomian species in-game, 277 of which are obtainable. The two unobtainable species are Moldecca, a massive aquatic Loomian that once circled the dome around Atlanthian City, and an unnamed Loomian that appears during a cutscene at Route 8 and is taken in by Mabel, who nicknames it Starla. Moldecca's offspring are also shown to live in Aranatta Trench, however, it is unclear if it is just a different form of Moldecca, which would make it the same species, or a pre-evolution of some sorts, which would make it a new species.
