Jun 27, 2014 · Pokémon Fire Red Evolution is a difficulty hack of Pokémon Fire Red which not only has improved trainers but also features several enhancements over the original game such as a PSS split, new moves/abilities from future installments, an updated type chart and much more.
All Pokémon from gens 1 & 2 are obtainable without trade, and all leaders may be rebattled. Leaders may use a different team on rebattling, with the final challenge using 1 of 20 random teams. Please note that rebattling leaders is only accessible following unlocking the National Dex.

HMs work totally differently and don't hinder overall gameplay. Cons: Literally every trainer uses healing items about twice on average. This will be less annoying in late game as attacks do more damage (easier to 1HKO or 2HKO), but it really drags out battles without effectively increasing the difficulty.
