   Samuel Pollard was an amazing and talented man who was born in Camelford in North Cornwall on April 20th 1864. His father (also called Samuel Pollard) was a true Cornishman, born in Padstow where he worked as a rope maker. For a while he was also a mechanic at Chatham dockyard before becoming a minister in the Bible Christian Church.
