Plastic model kits are the most common due to their low cost and huge range of models available to buy. Plastic kits come with precision cut pieces that are very robust, so much less likely to break compared to wooden kits.

Revell kits are ranked from one to five, in ascending order of difficulty. Level 1: Very basic and no need for glue or paint. For young children. Level 2: Basic kits with up to 30 parts. Requires glue and paint. Level 3: Medium complexity kits with up to 100 parts. Level 4: Detailed models with up to 150 parts. Level 5: Complex kits with over 150 p...
Other than the most basic kits (Level 1), Revell kits require gluing together and painting of the panels. Most kits don’t supply glue and paint so you will need to buy these separately. These extras aren’t too expensive though.

Here are my top choices, including their pros and cons (as I’ve encountered them).
Mar 9, 2022 · Pros: Good detail and fits; full intake trunks. Cons: Decals silver easily. Comments: Injection-molded plastic (gray, clear); 170 parts; decals. The Blackbird was a wild stallion of an airplane and so amazing that I’m surprised it took this long to see an updated kit.
