Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs is an American-Japanese animated television space Western, similar to the series The Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers and BraveStarr. The series premiered in the United States in 1987 and had a run of 52 episodes.
Ramrod has been destroyed and the former Star Sheriffs scatter and return to ordinary life. April and Fireball get closer and closer, Saber Rider goes back to his parents and Colt is reunited with Robin. Meanwhile the peace treaty has been broken by the Outriders.
While at Calvary Command, they meet the latest Star Sheriff trainees. April encounters a student named Jessie Blue while giving a martial arts demonstration. Jessie develops a crush on April. When the Outriders attack a convoy, Saber, April, Colt, and Fireball race to the rescue.
When the Star Sheriffs arrive to investigate a destroyed Cavalry Command base, they are attacked by Outriders. One of the Star Sheriffs must go on a maverick mission to defeat them. Using a trick coin, Colt wins the toss against Saber Rider and flies off to battle the enemy, who trap him in a canyon.
