In Capitol Punishment, Pearson tells the story of white supremacist John Barrish and his two sons, who obtain a deadly nerve gas, VZ, and plan to use it to attack both the Capitol building in Washington, D.C., and a Los Angeles office building during the president's State of the Union address.
The film, conceived and co-written by Ryne Douglas Pearson, was originally attached to a number of directors under Columbia Pictures, but it was placed in turnaround and eventually picked up by Escape Artists. Production was financially backed by Summit Entertainment.
