- How to Get Help
The Orleans Parish Civil District Court hosts a Self-Help Resource Center that is an operation of The Pro Bono Project and The Family Justice Center in partnership with the court and the clerk's offices, and with funding from the Louisiana Bar Foundation and is open daily.
Our team includes people who grew up within a few miles of our office here in New Orleans, who come from rural Louisiana, and who came to New Orleans from multiple other states and countries.
Pro bono service is essential to ensuring that all people can access justice in Louisiana, where the number of people eligible for free legal services outnumbers legal aid attorneys by an enormous 11,250 to one.
