Ronald Shusett (born June 28, 1935) is an American film writer and producer who co-wrote the 1979 film Alien with Dan O'Bannon and the 2004 film Alien vs. Predator with Dan O'Bannon and Paul W. S. Anderson. He also served as executive producer on Alien.
In 1974, he was the first to option the short story "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale", which eventually became the film Total Recall starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. Shusett is sometimes credited as Thilo T. Newman.
