Build quality is generally good and similar to the cheaper Tamron 16-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD Macro lens for DSLRs with APS-C sized sensors, which we reviewed recently. Like that lens, the 28-300mm Di lens has a thin rubber gasket around the lens mount, providing moisture-resistant construction.
