Use this form for complaints about false, misleading, or deceptive business practices. Some examples include: not getting what you paid for; billing or refund disputes; misleading ads; predatory sales; unlawful debt collection; scams; price gouging & disaster related complaints.
You may obtain the General Complaint form by calling Constituent Affairs at 1-800-621-0508 and requesting that they mail you a complaint form that you can fill out and return by mail. You may also download and print a General Complaint form here:
File Your Complaint by Mail. We prefer that you file your general complaint via our General Complaint online form, but if you are unable to do that, you may call our Constituent Affairs line at 1-800-621-0508, and we will mail you a complaint form that you may return by mail.
Whether you submit a complaint online or by mail, remember: your complaint is public, and the Office of the Attorney General is not your personal attorney. Complaints and related information filed with the Consumer Protection Division are records open to the public under Texas law.
A Consumer has the right to request that a business correct inaccuracies in the Personal Data that the business is Processing about the Consumer. With certain exceptions, the business must honor the request and respond to the consumer within 45 days.
