Oct 9, 2024 · Professor Richard Pring, whose contributions to education and the philosophy of education span over five decades and are recognised worldwide, passed on peacefully at his home in Oxford on Sunday.
Oct 18, 2024 · Emeritus Fellow Professor Richard Pring died on Sunday 6 October peacefully at his home in Oxford. Richard was elected to a Professorial Fellowship of then-Green College in September 1989 and became an Emeritus Fellow in 2003 when he retired.
Rose and Crown stalwart, Richard Pring, Professor Emeritus, died peacefully on the 6th October ’24. A man of many talents, a seminary at Rome, a marathon runner (at least 2 a year for some time), distinguished author and the boss of the nearby ‘University Department of Education’, to name but a few of the roles.
3 days ago · Professor Richard Pring (1938 – 2024) Editor of the British Journal of Educational Studies (1986-2001) and Honorary Fellow of the Society for Educational Studies. Richard’s funeral Mass was celebrated in the Oratory Church, Oxford on 30 th October 2024. A church Richard was thoroughly familiar with because of the Latin Masses he attended there.
