Oct 9, 2024 · Professor Richard Pring, whose contributions to education and the philosophy of education span over five decades and are recognised worldwide, passed on peacefully at his home in Oxford on Sunday.
Rose and Crown stalwart, Richard Pring, Professor Emeritus, died peacefully on the 6th October ’24. A man of many talents, a seminary at Rome, a marathon runner (at least 2 a year for some time), distinguished author and the boss of the nearby ‘University Department of Education’, to name but a few of the roles.
Richard Pring is Emeritus Professor of Education at the University of Oxford. His research interests include philosophy of education, education and training, and faith schools. He has written and edited numerous books, and has published many articles, some of which are listed here.
Oct 18, 2024 · Emeritus Fellow Professor Richard Pring died on Sunday 6 October peacefully at his home in Oxford. Richard was elected to a Professorial Fellowship of then-Green College in September 1989 and became an Emeritus Fellow in 2003 when he retired.
