Riceboy Sleeps is a 2022 Canadian drama film, written, produced, edited, and directed by Anthony Shim. [1] Based in part on Shim's own childhood, the film centres on So-Young ( Choi Seung-yoon ), a Korean immigrant single mother raising her teenage son Dong-Hyun (Ethan Hwang) after moving to Canada to give him a better life.
Riceboy Sleeps is the debut studio album by ambient duo Jónsi & Alex, [16] released on 20 July 2009. [17] The album is a collaboration between Sigur Rós vocalist Jón Þór Birgisson and partner Alex Somers which features acoustic instrumental music alongside a string quartet, Amiina , and the Kópavogsdætur Choir.
Writer and director Anthony Shim (Daughter) has based Riceboy Sleeps, in part, on his own life.
