This German movie has some of the best rat effects/shots I've ever seen in a "killer rat" movie. It's also well-written and character driven. The slightly weird part, though, is that there is little gore and seems as if it was a made-for-television movie in how it's constructed, particularly with the sub-plot about the little girl.
Jorg Luhdorff's horror film Revenge of the Rats begins when Frankfurt garbage collectors decide to strike. During the course of their work stoppage, giant rats begin to increase.
