Sombra is good against a rein dva and doomfist trio, especially if doom is good. You say you can get platinum in open q, but you haven't gotten to platinum on tank. There are a lot of tank specific positioning and play styles you need to improve to genuinely get better in open queue.

Ball's best matchup in my opinion is against Reinhardt. Rein will typically ignore the Ball, which allows the Ball player to distract Reinhardt's backline. Since Reinhardt is a tank that requires a lot of resources from his team, the Rein player will now become isolated and struggle in this matchup.
Tank is pretty much just a DPS unit with a bit more hp. Support characters are the ones controlling the game on which tank can be played. Ana will shut down any form of healing, Kiriko's suzu is extremly powerful (Kiriko main btw) and the other support characters got really good tools as well, like lamp or Illari's pylon.
