Exodus Chapter 14 recounts the Jews’ crossing of the Red Sea. In Hebrew, it is called “Kriat Yam Suph”. This translates as the “Crossing of the Sea of Reeds”. Yet, English translations call this the Rea Sea. This is one of the most famous accounts in the Bible. It is retold in song in the Torah and the Psalms.
