Aug 17, 2022 · Not had a breakdown in my new car since I got it in December 2016. Took out AA cover as part of my 5 year service plan. Found out in year 5 that they had not provided cover even though I had documentation of cover from them. When I got a puncture. There was a switch from AA to RAC by Peugeot. My cover vanished.
Sep 12, 2011 · Cancelling RAC Breakdown Cover. Hi, apologise if this has been asked before but i couldn't find any information. My RAC breakdown cover is up for renewal on the 13th October and the letter shows it has increased to about £41. I know that if i was to cancel it and rejoin i could breakdown cover for about £28 so i would rather do this.

After checking on here about what policies are the best, I found that pretty much every breakdown provider stated that you had to be a member for 24 hours before they come out. OR pay a call out charge.
Feb 23, 2017 · 23 February 2017 at 11:36AM. Hi. Has anyone else tried to cancel their RAC breakdown cover (mid year) and been told they would forfeit all the pro-rata return premium if they did so? There are 7 months remaining on the policy and this is what I have been told. This is not to be confused with an admin fee for cancelling. Any input greatly received.

On Saturday I was driving home from Holiday and had to pull over as the kids were playing about in the back, as I pulled over I misjudged the kerb due to the heavy rain and got myself a puncture in the tire sidewall.
