hombregato • 4 yr. ago. A little off-topic, but my favorite part of David Ehrlich's 25 Best Films of 2019 montage was when A Hidden Life kicked in. The musical sequence starts with Beach Bum at 3:57, but that's where the video really popped. Totally different vibe from the trailer, but I felt Malick would approve.

Like he refused to meet them half way with the makeup to make him look more like Joseph Gordon-Levitt, which is why JGL is heavily made-up to look like young Joe.
