Quincy struggles with anger from the mugging. Season 7,Episode 23 - Whatever Happened to Morris Perlmutter? Wednesday May 04, 1983 A formerly famous theatre star dies at the end of a robber's gun. Her sister (Rosemary DeCamp), Quincy, and Monahan look for the killer. Her agent, Morris Pearmutter, looks for a comeback in the circumstances.
The woman's sister, along with another man, Morris Perlmutter (Keenan Wynn), were vaudeville stars that Quincy saw in his younger days, but Morris feels his advancing age and resulting forgetfulness will prevent him from making a comeback on television, and turns to Emily and Quincy for help.
Perry Cook, who played the minister at Violet Winston's funeral, went on to play a medical examiner on the police procedural Hunter. Quincy is an LA coroner. In the ABC detective series "Castle", there is an NYC coroner called Perlmutter.
