Puerto Vallarta Squeeze is a novel by Robert James Waller, which was made into a film in 2004. Originally published in 1995 and subtitled The Run for el Norte , this unlikely romance follows an American expatriate and his Mexican girlfriend on a road trip with a former Marine .
Puerto Vallarta Squeeze. Clayton Price, an American government hit man gone astray, assassinates a U.S. military leader and Navy officer in Mexico. Now on the run, he makes a pact with a vacationing couple to help him disappear into the Mexican jungle and to get to the U.S. border.
Based on a novel by Robert James Waller, Puerto Vallarta was adapted for the screen by Richard Alfieri, directed by Arthur Allan Seidelman, and starred Harvey Keitel, Scott Glenn, and Jonathan Brandis (in his last role before his death in 2003). Vikki Carr also appears and sings in Spanish.
