I read it every 2 weeks and it maintains my interest, but you're right that it is dense. I do tend to skim or skip some parts that don't seem interesting to me. To be honest, I think it only makes sense as a subscription vs buying the occasional issue.

Generally a lot more thoughtful and thorough than any of the tabloids. I've not had direct dealings with them, but Private Eye is currently the only place I've found where you can get accurate 'proper' reporting (rather than a rehash of press releases) on many issues, including COVID-19.
