Set in the late 1970s in Barcelona's Modelo Prison, the plot consists of a critical revision of the so-called Transition in Spain, focusing on the plight of inmates imprisoned on common charges claiming for an amnesty that, unlike the case of fellow political prisoners, never came to pass.
The band is made up of former members of Dark Sermon (Johnny Crowder), Adaliah (Austin Coupe, Tyler Kruckmeyer), [2] [3] and ABACABB/In Alcatraz 1962 (Jonathon Pentz). [4] Prison's lyrics are largely centered around mental health, containing themes of recovery, suicide awareness, sexual consent, sobriety and loss, [ 5 ] and have been described as a "message of hope and healing".
