If you're lacking materials to fabricate extra weapons, ammo, and medkits - there is a way to recycle materials into even more materials.
It might be tempting to spend your Neuromods on the Leverage Skill to be able to pick up heavy objects - especially when there are lots of barricades hiding good loot.
However, you can break down almost any barricade with the simple (and glitchy) application of physics. Find a large objects you can carry (chairs work nicely) and while carrying it, try and wedge it into the side of a barricade. When picked up, the item become transparent, but still has a bit of weight to it when pushed against heavy objects. If you can place it in a way that causes it to clip through the environment, it will try to right itself by expanding and pushing other objects aside - even if they normally require Leverage to move.

The Prey Randomizer (full disclosure: this is my mod) also offers an option that adds a bunch of neuromods to Morgan's apartment at the beginning of the game along with one of every weapon.
