Jul 31, 2011 · Polly Platt, a Hollywood producer, designer and screenwriter who was responsible for the aesthetic of several of Peter Bogdanovich's early films, died on Wednesday at her home in Brooklyn. She was 72. The cause was amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, her family said. Mr. Bogdanovich was Ms. Platt's second husband.
