Polish Film Institute (Polish: Polski Instytut Sztuki Filmowej) is a state legal entity established in 2005 to support the development of cinematography. [1] The Institute operates on the basis of the Act of 30 June 2005 on cinematography, the Act of 9 November 2018 on financial support for audiovisual production and its statute.
In a span of nearly twenty five years, the PFFA has shown thru its programs over 1,500 films made by filmmakers of Polish descent worldwide, from the silent film era until today. The programs hosted nearly 600 film professionals who met the Chicago audiences.
