Pietro Scalia (born March 17, 1960) is an Italian film editor. He won the Best Film Editing award at the 64th Academy Awards for his work on the film JFK, sharing the award with Joe Hutshing, and at the 74th Academy Awards for Black Hawk Down.

She was initially moved by the state of lead character, Budi, a boy born 30 years after the tragedy of 1965 yet still affected by it. It also intrigued her that an event of such magnitude could be so easily silenced and erased from the world’s history.
