Edith Marguerite Tippet (née Harrington, previously Shand; 14 June 1893 – 3 January 1981), sometimes known as Margot, was the first wife of the English journalist Philip Morton Shand and through her only child, Bruce, was the paternal grandmother of Queen Camilla.
Shand, the son of the writer and barrister Alexander Faulkner Shand and his wife Augusta Mary Coates, was born in Kensington, London. He was educated at Eton College and King's College, Cambridge, as well as studying at the Sorbonne, Paris, and in Heidelberg, Germany. Shand was married four times.
