Peterhouse has its main site situated on Trumpington Street, to the south of Cambridge's town centre. The main portion of the college is just to the north of the Fitzwilliam Museum , and its grounds run behind the museum.
The Chapel sits at the centre of the oldest part of College and stands for a living tradition in the College’s life. The Peterhouse Chapel Choir is a friendly and diverse group drawn from the undergraduate body of the College and beyond.
Peterhouse is the oldest of the constituent colleges in the University of Cambridge. It was founded in 1284 by Hugo de Balsham, Bishop of Ely, on its current site close to the centre of the City.

Peterhouse. Peterhouse is the oldest and smallest of the Cambridge Colleges, founded in 1284. We admit about 75 undergraduates a year and welcomes candidates in almost all courses offered by the University. The size of the College, both in terms of its physical space and student body, give us our cozy, friendly atmosphere.
