Peter J. Clarke, Esq. received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York in 1989. In 1993, Peter moved to Houston, Texas to attend the Thurgood Marshall School of Law (TMSL) at Texas Southern University, where he obtained his Juris Doctorate, Cum Laude, in 1996.
Born in Cincinnati in 1829, Peter Clark was one of the board’s earliest members, serving from 1884-87. A widely respected abolitionist and writer, Clark’s passion for education began when his father sent him to Gilmore High School, a private secondary school serving African American students who were barred from attending public schools.
