Mar 15, 2005 · A convicted killer has pleaded guilty in a London court to killing two people, including an old friend whose brain he cooked up in a frying pan and had planned to eat. Peter Bryan accepted pleas of manslaughter for the deaths of two men last year, after prosecutors dropped calls for murder convictions on the weight of psychiatric evidence.
Peter Bryan was charged with the murders of Brian Cherry and Richard Loudwell and in October 2004 an application was granted to join the two indictments so that the two counts of murder could be tried together.
Third victim, Richard Loudwell, 60, was awaiting trial for the murder of an 82-year-old woman and was a patient on the same ward. On the day of his death, April 25, 2004, Mr Loudwell was 'happy, cheering and laughing.'
