Paul T. Buchheit (born November 7, 1977) is an American computer engineer and entrepreneur who created the email service Gmail. He developed the original prototype of Google AdSense as part of his work on Gmail.
Paul Buchheit has been married to April Buchheit since 2002 and they live in Palo Alto, California. The couple experienced significant health trauma following the premature birth of their daughter and due to the early death of his 33-year-old brother from pancreatic cancer.
In response, Buchheit’s wife April set up a fund to support the Intensive Care Nursery at UCSF Children’s Hospital, where their daughter was treated.
