What to do in an emergency. If someone has attempted suicide, or is about to seriously harm themself, it's an emergency. If it's safe to do so, you should: Call 999 for an ambulance, or take them to A&E. Remove anything they could use to harm themselves. Stay with them until medical help arrives.
You might have physical injuries from your suicide attempt. If so, you might be dealing with physical recovery as well as how you feel. You may have permanent injuries that you're now learning to cope with. Or you might experience pain and mobility issues. This can be isolating and may feel very difficult to cope with.
