Parkway Central was the first high school built in the new district. The original high school was converted to a junior high school when the present high school was built in 1961. Aug 28, 2023 · Returning to Parkway Central High is a full-circle moment 33 years in the making. Born in Connecticut, her father’s job brought Upadhyay and her family to St. Louis in 1978. That is when her Parkway journey began as a student at Shenandoah Valley Elementary.
