The Summer School is addressed to young dancers between 10 and 19 years of age. Created in 2013 for the Tercentenary of the Paris Opera Ballet School, this summer intensive is a unique opportunity for young dancers from all over the world to train at the world’s most ancient ballet school.

The Summer School is open to children from 10 to 19 years of age as of July 1 st, 2024. However we also consider the application of students who are a few days younger or older.
Supérieur pro*: ballet, pas-de-deux, repertoire, technique, contemporary, jazz, stretching, pilates; At the end of the Summer School, parents and guardians are invited to the Démonstrations (final performance) to have an insight of the progressions made by the students.

Normally for boarding, arrivals are around 6-8pm on the Sunday evening (but they have to eat before or bring a picnic as the canteen is closed on Sunday night), or they can join on Monday morning at 10am, but they have to go almost immediately to the classes. Lessons are 9.30-5.30pm Monday-Saturday (11am on first Monday).

Mar 11, 2022 · DQ123. @MCM I can't comment on the competitiveness of summer course as this will be my daughter's first summer, however stats from 2019 show 295 students were selected from a total of 681 applications. Not sure how many total were selected for 2022 but there were 800 applicants for this summer. Tuition with boarding for 2 weeks: 1962 euros.
