- To solve this please do the following: Open your AV program and look in the quarantined list (some programs call it virus chest). If the file is there restore it and mark it as safe, then start the game and it should work as normal.

Jan 16, 2023 · Short version, Paradox Launcher is corrupted but is unable to reinstall due to old files being present on the computer but I'm having trouble hunting down those old files. Long version: I'm on Windows 10 and recently purchased Victoria 3 not realizing that my processor did not support ATX.

Dec 17, 2020 · Remove the following files and folders from ~/Library/Application Support/Paradox Interactive/: .cpatch (hidden by default) launcher-v2 (all of the folders and versions)
Feb 26, 2020 · If the launcher itself doesn't work, this fix won't help. If the launcher does come up and you launch the game and it either crashes or freezes loading, this probably will help. Win 10 added a 'feature' some time ago called Fullscreen Optimization. It screwed with a lot of older games.
