Shurer boasts over 30 years of experience in animation, having previously simultaneously held the roles of VP of Development at Walt Disney Feature Animation and executive producer of the short films group at Pixar.
Shurer was born in Israel, and as the child of an airline executive, she grew up in many parts of the world. She received a degree in film from New York University in 1983.
