Buy a parts kit, buy a receiver from dsa or similar. Remove parts from kit, barrel is the hardest and usually needs a proper barrel wrench. Install parts in new receiver, headspace (procedure is well documented on fal files) refinish, party.
You can build your parts kit to be a semi auto rifle (NOT full auto), but it’s not “grandfathered” or “antique” or any other misinformed idea you guys have about federal gun laws. You cannot build your PPSh kit into a full auto firearm.

This one will live in a small portable survival kit as a backup to a backup. THE AWESOME. Very well-made pistol using quality materials; Lightweight and easily portable; It’s so inexpensive you can’t afford to not have one. THE OK. Reloading is slow; you’ll need to make that single shot count.
