Downloadable Large-Format Historical Maps. There are a number of websites that have historic older maps available for online viewing (I’ll list a few of these in an upcoming post), but these sites typically don’t have the maps in high-resolution downloadable formats.
That’s just what’s on display at the David Rumsey Map Collection, whose more than 131,000 historical maps and related images are available to browse (or download) free online.
