Nusaybin (pronounced) is a municipality and district of Mardin Province, Turkey. [2] Its area is 1,079 km 2, [3] and its population is 115,586 (2022). [1] The city is populated by Kurds of different tribal affiliation. [4] Nusaybin is separated from the larger Kurdish-majority city of Qamishli by the Syria–Turkey border. [5] [6]
