Grandmother has plans for her to grow into a proper lady and wear beautiful clothes, but Aurore believes that there is more to life than merely presenting a pretty face. .

George Sand's 13-year-old marriage to Casimir has now degenerated beyond repair. Having just met the young Polish composer, Chopin, George Sand is determined to know him better.
