One of the very few hallmark movies that actually decent and has a plot that makes sense and isn’t just. “White blond girl goes on a work trip and bumps into a guy she hates, then she starts to fall for him, then starts hating him again and then they get married after knowing each other for a week”. I was pleasantly surprised to see that this movie is about a disabled man, and the movie includes a lot of little moments about disability that ring true to life—particularly in the first act. I don’t think I need to see it again, but I enjoyed it. I wasn’t expecting much, but having a more serious undertone with the male lead dealing with health issues and a disability added something different to the typical grumpy neighbor trope.
