Born in Louisiana, raised in Southern California, and road-tripping everywhere in between with his family, Nicholas had seen most of the country by the time he even knew what a camera was. Fast forward to high school where he would spend countless nights in the darkroom his dad had built for him in the laundry room.
Nicholas Maggio’s photography ultimately creates a feeling of insecurity when pondering the inspiration for his work. He manages to take photos that seem utterly contrived and orchestrated, while spontaneous and friendly.
Nicholas saw most of country before he even knew what a camera was. He was born in Louisiana, raised in Southern California, and road-tripped everywhere else in between with his family. Next, fast forward to art school: Nicholas would ditch his color theory class to spend countless hours in the darkroom obsessing over large format prints.

After a brief career in fashion and design, Nicholas transitioned back into photography after the rise of the digital age and swapped the darkroom for Lightroom and a laptop. He's shot campaigns for Lexus, Samsung, Nike, Chevrolet, Pacsun, Under Armour, Speacilized, Adidas and others.
