Nicholas Hytner. Sir Nicholas Robert Hytner (/ ˈhaɪtnər / HYTE-nər; born 7 May 1956) is an English theatre director, film director, and film producer. He was previously the Artistic Director of London's National Theatre. His major successes as director include Miss Saigon, The History Boys and One Man, Two Guvnors.
Nicholas Hytner, English director of theater and film who served as artistic director of the Royal National Theatre (RNT) from 2003 to 2015. Hytner was credited with reinvigorating London’s theater scene and attracting new audiences to the RNT complex on the South Bank of the River Thames.
