Kevin McKidd (born 9 August 1973) is a Scottish actor and television director. Before playing the role of Dr. Owen Hunt in Grey's Anatomy, for which he is widely known, McKidd appeared as Tommy Mackenzie in Danny Boyle's Trainspotting (1996).
McKidd has a son Joseph (born 2000) and a daughter Iona (born 2002) by his first marriage to Jane Parker. The family became U.S. citizens in 2015. The union ended in divorce in 2017 after 17 years.
