Jun 12, 2024 · Senator Cutler asked Queen to carry a Needham flag, but it was then discovered that Needham did not have a flag. So Sen. Cutler commissioned small gold-fringed banners with the Town Seal, effectively creating our town flag; she chose blue on white, because they were the high school’s colors.
Needham was incorporated in 1711 and has experienced numerous changes over its history. Early settlers relied primarily on agriculture and grazing plus some winter lumbering with orchards and tanneries as supplements in the 1700s.
