Jun 28, 2023 · Ake’s performances when called upon not only impressed his manager, made it almost impossible for the City boss to leave him out. All the more impressive is the fact that Aké is a central defender by trade, but his solid, no-nonsense defending at left-back was outstanding, time and time again.
Basically a 50/50 between the two with Gvardiol passing the eye test more, leaked that he's benched literally on the deadline (bet the leakers knew before as well but decided to fanny about telling everyone), and then Ake gets an 11 pointer with a jammy assist.
