Nate started racing bicycles in 2003. First specializing in DH and later continuing to XC before finding his true love in Enduro. Racing brought him the amazing opportunity to travel the world, experience culture and meet many people who have become some of his best friends to this day.
Nate migrated to Summit County, CO for the winters, but stayed for the summers. A seasoned mountain athlete, Nate transitioned from skiing 276 days in a year to downhill mountain bike racing in 2003, and continued to build his wheelhouse of cycling disciplines to include cross-country, 4X, dual slalom, dirt jumping and before the U.S. knew what it was, enduro.
And, a half hour north of Buena Vista you’ll find one of Colorado’s true novelties: a bike-legal trail to the summit of 14,440-foot Mount Elbert, the highest peak in the Rocky Mountains. The trail was re-routed a few years ago, making it possible to ride about 80 percent of the 5,000-foot ascent.
